Econests are compact, ecologically based healthy homes designed by Baker-Laporte, AIA and built by Robert Laporte's Econest Building Company. Paula Baker-Laporte concentrates her architectural practice on the precepts of environmentally sound and health enhancing architecture. She is also the primary author of Prescriptions for a Healthy House. She works cooperatively with her husband and natural builder, Robert Laporte. Econest projects have recently been featured in several magazines including "Natural Home", "Fine Homebuilding", and "Yoga Journal."
